The Life I Chose to live

    Well that's not an easy question to answer. I've been all over the place. Every time I thought about sitting down to write a post, I ended up running an errand or deep cleaning my house. But here I am... finally.     I wish I could say this has been a pleasant break and that's why I've skipped out on posting. But that wouldn't be entirely true. It's been mostly jam packed with doctors appointments and errand running. I've seen our family physician so much just this week that I'm starting to wonder if we are dating. (lmao... that was a joke.) But it has some truth to it. I've had to take 3 of the kids to see him this month alone totaling 7 visits. That's  a lot of doctors appointments. Most of that is Destiny's fault. We did an allergy test and the poor girl is allergic to nearly everything outdoors.(That's one appointment.) The worst being dogs. So we started allergy shots this week. (That was 3 appointments this week.) But I learned ...

    Can I start by saying ugh... my head hurts? I don't even know where to start. So much has been going on. I guess I'll start by saying that managing an entire household of this size is beyond chaotic. There are so many different aspects to look at before making a final decision. I have thought about our living situation and how each individual will take to moving out of our little city, and of course I had to include how it will effect those closest to us and well... the chances of us moving out of state is pretty slim.      It would not just effect us adults. While of course it would be much cheaper to consider Oklahoma, it's not ideal for any of the kids. It would cause them to move schools, change doctors, and would distance them from the people they know and love. That isn't what I'm trying to do here. I want them to have as much of a support system as they possibly can. So it looks like the hunt will continue. I'm now considering talking to my landlord a...

    It's a well known fact that a witch's favorite time of year is Halloween. Well lucky for me I live in an area of the world that it is well celebrated. I can never get enough Halloween. I will hesitantly admit that I may have over spent just a tad on decor so far. I'm a couple hundred dollars in. I wish I could say that with that amount I have decorated the whole house.. inside and out, but that isn't entirely true. This is just on things that will decorate the interior of our home for years to come. But I'm here to share some of my spooky finds.  What home is complete without bleeding candles?  If the broom fits... Ride it.  Of course I always have to have a new coffee cup.  Brandi actually spotted this beautiful snow globe and we had to have it. We actually ended up buying 4 of these.     Yep, it's time to start shopping again. We have Blake's birthday this month, Halloween in October, Thanksgiving in November, and of course we can't forget about Christmas in December. But luckily I am a little ahead of the game. I've already started my shopping. Of course leave it to me to start Halloween shopping as soon as everything starts hitting the shelves. I love sugar skulls and everything dark and demonic. So for my household, these aren't just Halloween decorations... it's just normal, everyday decor. As for Christmas, well I'm quite a bit ahead of the game on that as well. Yesterday I ordered our Christmas tree and all the fixings. I never really bother with decorating for Thanksgiving, I always focus more on the meal than the decor.     I can't wait to show off all my decor once the holidays actually hit.    There is actually a lot good going on right now. To begin with the kids are back to school and loving it. Every day I hear how excited they are to go to school, and then when they return home I hear about how fun it was and what they got to do. It's helped me a lot too. My house is back to how it usually is... spotless. I've actually had plenty of time to catch up on my cleaning and some sleep as well. Not so much on the sleep as I would like though. It seems like every time I lay down to catch a power nap people decide it is a great time to call and message me. But at least it is peaceful in the house so I am able to at least rest.    I've also been able to get my cooking bug back. I know Brandi and Joey have both missed me having the time and energy to cook up a full meal. Tonight we had a very yummy honey and garlic pork roast. Both filling and delicious.    Wow, time is really passing... and quickly. All of the kids have a meet the teacher today. Damian is super excited because he gets to meet his teacher in person today. He will get to tour his classroom, take a look at the lunch room, and get a look at what his life is going to look like this year. He is so excited, and I am excited for him. It's a big step for our little man. It's bittersweet to think in just 2 days he will be off to school.    Meanwhile, my house is a bit chaotic. Delaney's older brothers came to spend the night with us last night, which was a lot of fun. I kind of miss having them around. We took them to do their back to school shopping yesterday. Even though it was just uniforms, they were excited to have new things. To hear them say it.. the best part wasn't the new clothes... it was that they got to go school shopping with us. Yay! We are almost there. Just a few more days and then it is time for school and hopefully time to get my sanity back. This year was all over the place due to Spring Break turning into an extended holiday which led to an extremely long Summer Vacation. I was nowhere near prepared and the kids drove me insane for the entire summer. But thankfully, schools are opening for in person teaching... So now my house, my brain, and my sanity can get a little bit of a break.     A lot has led us to this day.. Needless to say I have had to deal with way more than my sanity thought it could handle. I had to put D in therapy, family counseling, and a behavioral health school. That alone has been pure craziness. And as it would turn out, she has oppositional  defiance disorder on top of her depression and anxiety. (These next 6 years are gonna be just fucking fantastic... not!)
