The Life I Chose to live

   You know what is a headache? Getting 5 kids ready to start school. I have shopped for school clothes until I would rather vomit than have to buy another children's clothing item. Thankfully the clothes shopping is done and over with... at least until one of them hits a growth spurt. Now on to shoes and school supplies. I'm sure by the time I'm done shopping I won't want to see another store for months.    On the plus side, schools will be reopening. So I will be getting that much needed break. Only one problem... preparing the house for the upcoming school year means more shopping. ugh! Luckily I have most of that taken care of as well. I broke down and bought cubbies for them. One set is for their home supplies. Things like their drawing and  coloring supplies and their tooth brushes (since somehow their tooth brushes always ended up on the floor). The other set of cubbies is for school. That set will have their clothes and shoes for the next school day. ...

    I know I said that I would catch at least one picture of everyone at Castaway cove yesterday, but unfortunately the only pictures are the ones locked in my memory. But I can tell you that everyone had a blast. I even managed to get Joey on the Cliff Hanger with me.     He didn't scream, but he did freak out for a minute when he thought he lost his hat. And he did get on a few of the other features with little man. It was absolutely hilarious to see him go down the slides in the kiddi area. Brandi and I got a good laugh. He even had one of the life guards laughing.     I'm so glad that we have these memories as a family. I know we have our moments.. And we most definitely have people that try to come between us, but my family is rock solid. We are all lucky to have each other.     Anyway, back on topic... The kids all enjoyed themselves.   Yesterday's Birthday party was a huge success. Everyone that was invited showed up, although Mom (Joey's mom) was late (tisk tisk lol). But the important thing is that the kids enjoyed their day of cooking out and playing in the pool. Plus they made out like bandits.    They loved every present they got. We got to see their faces light up  a little more with each gift they opened. But the surprises don't end here. Later today they will get the biggest gift that we got them. Yep.. today is Castaway Cove day. There is a cake waiting for them there just as well. Followed by pizza, ice cream, and a ton of water filled fun. Maybe Joey will be able to get Damian on some of the bigger rides.    As much as I would love to post a million pictures for you all to enjoy, I don't want my phone ruined.     Yes, I know I've been MIA for quite some time. So I have a lot of up dating to do. So get ready to do some reading.       My Birthday was June 18th. I didn't celebrate until the weekend following. But I had a ton of fun. I had my hair redone and spent two days away from home. Joey covered the cost for Brandi and I to get a hotel room and spend some time at the casino. We ended up losing $300, but we had a lot of fun. And we made it home just in time to spend Father's Day with Joey. He ended up getting a new knife and we cooked out. He really enjoyed the t-bone steak meal.      June was a really eventful month. Besides my birthday and Father's Day, we had a ton of appointments. Delaney is now on medication for her depression and ADHD. And Blake is now  medication for his ADHD. Damian also finished up his last few sessions of speech therapy. So I guess that is all for the better.     Now that July has greeted us with it's horr...

   Well I guess Damian starting school this year turned out to be a good thing because at 7 a.m. we discovered something great.      Yup, yet another child from the Price bloodline. Brandi is pregnant. Now it's just a waiting game to find out if we are having a Jordyn Reign or an Andrew Scott.

     My baby boy... But I guess he isn't much of a baby anymore. As of today he is officially a preschooler. Today I finished up his enrollment paperwork. I can't believe that time has passed so quickly. It seems like just yesterday I was teaching him to walk and talk. But I guess I can't keep him that small forever. Luckily I was blessed enough to be able to watch him grow every bit of the way.    I know he is ready for this next step in life. So I guess that means that I've done my job as his mother, but I am far from ready to see him walk out the door for his first day of school. I guess somewhere in my brain I thought that I could keep him as a baby for the rest of my days. But he proves to me every day that he is ready to grow up. He has become so independent. He rarely needs my help for anything. How did I not see this day coming?     My baby boy... what am I supposed to do when you are away at school? Who is supposed to keep me busy and mak...

     Well for starters, Brandi and I joined the gym. Planet fitness was running a special, so we joined. Black card of course. We have made a plan and we are sticking to it. Two times a day, three days a week. For a total of 6 one hour workouts. We are also eliminating quite a bit of the junk foods that we put in the house. That goes for the kids as well. And we have decided that we will only have one splurge on eating out a week. This will either be on a Friday or Saturday night. But physical fitness is just one of the goals being applied in this household.      It's time we start focusing on mental health as well. Lately the true DeLaney has been showing. And don't get me wrong, it's actually a good thing that her true colors are showing vs. the show she has put on for the last 3 months. Now I know what help she actually needs. So I have started setting up appointment with doctors, psychiatrist, and therapist. I just wish she would have talked about ...
